Case Gain
1. By “Case” we are referring to the sum total of the mental, physical and spiritual difficulties that plague a single person. See more on the Case definition page.
When a person gets relief or forward progress in any of the areas that make up their case, this is referred to as case gain.
Sometimes called “negative gain” because you are subtracting or eliminating unwanted things from the preclear’s case.
Case gain is a key metric for an auditor. If at any point case gain stalls out the auditor takes steps to discover why and improve it.
Case gain should be both subjectively observable by the preclear and objectively observable by the auditor. In short, the preclear will feel better.
