Session

1. The time period during which an auditor counsels another person (preclear). During this time, the auditor strictly follows the Auditor’s Code as well as the steps of Model Session. The goal of any session is to help the preclear clear away mental and spiritual difficulties. With the auditor’s assistance, the preclear is given a safe and undisturbed environment to examine their own mind.

The length of a session varies. An auditor would never end the session solely based on the clock, but strives to always end sessions at a good point with the preclear feeling at a good place for themselves. Generally, a session lasts around 2-2.5 hours. But they can be shorter or longer depending on various factors.
